Motor Vehicle Technology Centre
Our dedicated Vehicle Technology Centre offers you a real life working environment. The centre is fully kitted out with engine and repair bays, paint mix and spray rooms and a body repair area – perfect for all budding mechanics.

Gas & Plumbing Technology Centre
Our Gas & Plumbing Technology Centre is approved by City & Guilds and British Plumbing Employers Council (BPEC) for Gas Training & Assessments and contains some of the most advanced equipment in the UK including: solar panels, rainwater harvesting and unvented hot water systems.

What can I do at an Open Day?
Whether you’ve already applied or have no idea what you want to study yet, our Open Days are perfect for you! You can get a real feel of student life. Tutors will also be on hand to explain in depth about courses and our Student Services team will also be there to offer advice on careers, transport, finance, wellbeing and more.

What sites/campuses are open?
This Open Day is exclusively for our Kempston Campus. Head to our Vehicle Technology Centre or Gas & Plumbing Technology Centre, both located at Triumph Way, Woburn Road Industrial Estate, Kempston, Bedford MK42 7QB. Get directions.

Where can I park?
There is free car parking available at the Vehicle Technology Centre and Gas & Plumbing Technology Centre.

What subject areas will be represented?
Motor Vehicle and Plumbing & Gas.

What if I am a wheelchair user?
The majority of areas within the College are accessible to everyone. If you have any concerns, please ring Enquiries & Guidance on 01234 291000.

Do I have to be there for the duration of the event?
Of course not! You can drop in at any time and stay for as long or as little as you wish.

How do I apply for a course?
You will be able to apply on the day, and staff will be on hand to help you, or if you prefer, you can also apply online when you get home.

Do I have to pre-register to be able to come?
Everyone is welcome at our Open Days whether you’ve pre-registered or not! By pre-registering you get the benefit of beating the queues as you won’t have to fill out a registration card when you arrive.

Does my entire family have to pre-register?
No, only prospective students are required to register to attend an Open Day.
