Accounting AAT Level 2 Certificate (Fast-Track)

If you are new to accounting this course will provide you with an excellent start to the subject. You will learn the basic accounting principles, experience accounting software and gain insight into accounting business environments.

Entry requirements

You do not need any qualifications to start but you must have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Course content

During the course you will cover topics including:

  • Basic Account 1 and 2
  • Work effectively in Accounting and Finance
  • Basic Costing
  • Computerised Accounts

Assessment methods

You will be assessed by a skills test and end of year exam board assessment.

Further study and career options

Accounting Technicians are skilled staff employees in jobs ranging from Clerks to Accounts Department Managers. They are increasingly required in Industry and Commerce, so if you have good AAT qualifications at any level your prospects will be extremely good. On successful completion you can progress onto our Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

Additional information

These professional examinations require a high standard of preparation and considerable commitment if success is to be achieved. In addition to the course fees, you will also be required to purchase set books (around £175) and register with the AAT (£129 in 2016).
