Accountancy Advanced (Level 3)
This Level 3 Accountancy study programme leads on from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 training programme, and will further develop your skills in costing, financial accounting, cash management, indirect tax, ethics and spreadsheets.
To begin this study programme you will need...
Duration: 1 Year
- 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4 ideally including English and maths
- Accounting AAT Level 2 qualification
- Equivalent Accounting qualification

- Accounts Preparation
- Preparing financial statements for sole traders and partnerships
- Cash Management
- Indirect Tax
- English and maths:
If you don't already have GCSE English and maths grade A*-C, we will work with you to help you develop your maths and English skills.
- Personal development skills, study skills and employability skills
- Additional vocational learning and qualifications:
- As part of your studies you will also be able to take an AS-Level Accounting qualification.
You will be assessed continually throughout the study programme; assessment will take the form of both exams and College assignments.

Further study and career options
On successful completion of this study programme you could progress on to Accounting Level 4, or begin your career in an accountancy role.
To take part in this study programme there will be an additional fee of up to approximately £250 to pay for books and £50 for any trips/visits. These professional examinations require a high standard of preparation and considerable commitment if success is to be achieved. An additional £50 resource fee will also need to be paid on induction.
All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses are still free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification.
