Information Based Decision Making CMI Level 5 Award

This is one unit of a diploma in Management and Leadership at Level 5. This unit is concerned with the communication and use of information to support decision making.

Entry requirements

This course is suitable if you are a middle manager and want to develop your management skills, and for those who aspire to the role.

You should be currently employed and have:

  • A Level 3 business/management related qualification, OR
  • Appropriate work experience where you have supervised others, AND
  • A good standard of written English.

Course content

You will gain an understanding of how to:

  • Identify and select sources of data and information
  • Analyse and present information to support decision making
  • Communicate the results of information analysis and decisions.

Assessment methods

You will be assessed through reports, presentations and activities. These will be related to your work place.

Further study and career options

On successful completion of this course you can progress onto other units with the Chartered Management Institute.

Additional information

Attendance will be one evening per week for four weeks. Significant home study will be required to be successful on this course. Additional costs will be for an online management resource subscription.
