Microsoft Word: Time Saving Tips & Tricks

This course is designed to increase your productivity in Microsoft Word by learning some powerful shortcuts and alternate methods for formatting, storing data and navigating your documents.

Course content

This course covers a range of topics from working with styles and templates to turning lists into tables; all designed to help you work more efficiently.

During the course you will study the following topics:

  • Selection techniques using keyboard & mouse
  • Customising the Quick Access toolbar
  • Finding & replacing text & formatting
  • Using Quick Parts & AutoText
  • Using the Navigation pane
  • Styles & Templates
  • Table techniques

Assessment methods

There will be no assessments or exams during this course; you will receive a Bedford College course completion certificate.

Further study and career options

On completion of this course you could complement what you have learnt by attending the Microsoft Word: Creating & Formatting Long Documents course.

Additional information

This course will be delivered using Microsoft Office 2010 and will also be suitable if you use Microsoft Office 2007. If you are using Microsoft Office 2003 or any other version, please contact us to discuss this further.
