Christmas Cheer

This evening workshop is designed to give learners the opportunity to have fun designing floral decorations to make Christmas even more special. The course is designed to provide learners with the opportunity to create a variety of special floral designs. Learners will find out more about tricks of the trade and have the opportunity to create beautiful designs for the Christmas holidays.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required Learners should be 14 years or older.

Course content

The course will focus on the choice of materials, the use of colour and form and handling and care of flowers. Learners will be able to practise different techniques using a range of different media. Learning will focus on creating and experimenting with special designs based on a winter and Christmas theme.

Assessment methods

Informal assessment will be used to help learners develop their skills. There is no formal assessment on this course.

Further study and career options

You can progress onto further floristry courses at the college.
