Sugarcraft Exhibition

The Hospitality & Catering Department's annual Sugarcraft Exhibition took place in June 2016. Forty exhibitors contributed three cakes and two models each to a dazzling and colourful display of artistic skill and technique. All students have successfully achieved their Level 1 and Level 2 Awards in Cake Decoration and Wired Sugar Flowers.

Some of the creative designs included a makeup table, Minions on a desert island, a grandfather clock, a wedding dress and a complete sugarcraft garden. Students completing the courses are now qualified to progress to higher level courses in sugarcraft and a range of employment opportunities, and many have been featured in prestigious competitions including the International Salon Culinaire at Hotelympia in London.
