Hospitality Services City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Diploma
This course will provide you with the skills that are required in a professional hospitality environment. It will also assist you in gaining employment in the exciting hospitality industry. You will learn valuable basic food preparation, cooking and presentation skills. This qualification is highly sought after restaurants, hotels, bars and eateries.
Working in the hospitality industry, at least on a part time basis, where you are able to practice the skills learnt here at College.
You will cover a wide range of skills required in the Hospitality industry including:
Preparation and cookery of soups, sauces, meat fish and cooking processes such as boiling, steaming, poaching, baking, grilling and frying.
These units will all depend on the menu of the establishment you work in.
Practical assessments, written assignments and written knowledge test papers.
Further study and career options
Level 2 Food Preparation.
You will need to wear a suitable clean and pressed chefs uniform, safety shoes and have a knife set.
