Basic Motorcycle Maintenance

The course is designed for people to come in and use our facilities and get expertise to further their individual knowledge of motorcycle maintenance. It's a casual course with no assessment.

Entry requirements

This course is suitable if you have a keen interest in motorcycles or ride a motorcycle and would like to learn how to maintain your vehicle.

Course content

All of our students have different levels of knowledge and skills and some have re-enrolled time and again on the course to further their knowledge. There is no specific ‘syllabus’ as we attempt to cater for all, regardless of your current expertise.

Further study and career options

You could consider other motor vehicle short courses to further develop your knowledge.

Additional information

You are encouraged to bring in your own bike to carry out tasks of their choice, under the supervision and guidance of our staff. If you do not have your own bike, we do have college vehicles that you can use to learn new skills. To take part in this course you will need to provide suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) for use in the College workshops. The course runs at our Vehicle Technology Centre in Kempston.
