Keeping in touch
We believe parents should be involved in their son or daughter’s education, supporting them and talking to us – find out how you and the College can work in partnership.
During your son or daughter’s time at Bedford College we make sure that you are kept up to date with how they are doing and what is going on in our community. We feel students perform better when their parents take an active role in their education and so our teaching departments have a range of strategies to keep you involved. These may include:
- Student progress reports to keep you up-to-date with your son or daughter’s academic performance and progress.
- Parents’ consultation evenings to find out how your son or daughter is doing at Bedford College – you will have the opportunity to discuss their work, performance and progress with tutors and teaching staff.
- Invitations to events such as exhibitions, performances and awards evenings to celebrate success.
- Our regular open days are a great way to get more information about College life – there are students and teachers on hand to chat about everything from classes and course content to getting the bus. In short, it’s the ideal way to discover what the College has to offer your son or daughter.
» Contacting us
Whilst we welcome communication from parents, and encourage you to get in touch with us if you have any concerns, questions or feedback about your son or daughter’s education, we also recognise that as young adults, our students have rights as well as responsibilities. This means that we need their consent to share information, including with parents.
For questions or complaints, please contact our Enquiries & Guidance team on 01234 291000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
For personal matters, we recommend contacting your son or daughter’s personal tutor, who will be able to offer advice and help on most issues.
